I assumption the primary reason I didn’t expect to rock this race was that I only subscribed since I got a complimentary entry from my running group. Oh, as well as it was generally down the street from my house. I figured it was complimentary as well as I didn’t have to go out of my method in any way – so I didn’t truly prepare for it.

I saw Sarah from when Upon a Lime in the porta potty line as well as we both are running one more half in 5 days. We agreed that we must take this race simple as well as “save our legs” for the Saturday race. Well, I didn’t hold up my end of the bargain.
Note the hesitant smile, I never understand exactly how my body is really going to feel when it starts running. often my body likes to remind me that it is developed for bearing children, not moving quickly.
Per usual, I started out method as well fast. But, unlike normal I was able to keep it up. usually always my legs recognize they are moving at speeds a lot more proper for somebody 2/3 my size as well as immediately hit a wall to show me who’s boss. Well today my pain receptors were on holiday (probably a Memorial Day road trip) as well as never realized this.

I’m truly delighted sweaty here…
I grabbed some oranges as well as a water publish race.
Then, headed to the shuttles to get back to my car. Ben didn’t come to this race considering that it was so close as well as he had to work.
But, it was no biggie considering that Laguna Hills used elegant shuttles back to your car!
I likewise scored 2 chocolate chip cookies from the corner Bakery booth at the publish race festivities.
I didn’t have any type of ice to do an ice bath as well as tried to jeopardize with ice packs. It didn’t get the water chilly enough. Oh well, I tried.
Post race meal – pumpkin, carrot cake yogurt, chia seeds, Vitatop as well as Barney Butter. It’s no post-race brunch, however was still quite amazing.
I’m headed to my mom’s since she wishes to go buying – who am I to turn that down? See ya later
